Wishful Thinking

Do you ever wish you were somewhere else? For no reason in particular, I have been itching to get away. I feel like a need a break... a change of scenery. I think everyone feels this way at some point. I was looking through the pictures on my computer and came across this image from Flickr of a street in Portugal. It would be so great to be riding through the cobblestone streets on that adorable scooter!

If you could be anywhere else right now, where would you be?

The south of France....Villefranche....by the sea :)
Lovely photo....someone living near me actually has a Vespa that colour, I am always tempted to just scoot away somewhere on it!

Ah I totally agree with you! I'm itching for a vaca! Nothing too stressful going on at home, but I want the excitement of a trip, packing, the airport, seeing something new.

I would love to go to Greece!

Oh I love the picture.
Portugal is gorgeous this time of year!
{used to live there a few years back.}

And I would want to be in Venice right now... just sipping on some champagne and riding on a gondola.

oh yes. definitely wishful thinking...

Well,
I would be sitting in a little bistro overlooking the Rhine river in Paris. Just relaxing and not having to create a thing!

Suggestion:

1. Got to kimptonhotels.com and look at where they have properties in your region.

2. Pack up Tate and the man and take a mini-vacation at one of these hotels. They are not only dog friendly, most of them are overly enthusiastic about having dogs stay with their owners.

We stay at Kimptons exclusively when we can (they are in many major cities) and sometimes turn a quick trip to Washington, DC (2 hours from here) into a mini vacation by staying over at a Kimpton.

What a beautiful picture :o) In March/April I took a trip to Sweden to visit my family... I think if I could be anywhere right now, I would be there. There's something about Scandinavian country living that has a tight hold on my heart! Happy June (& hoping you get a break this month).

It was hard to beat Atlanta this weekend, but that will change quickly with the hot summer rolling in. I want to be on a beach with a breeze and no computer. Anywhere will do.

I feel like this at least 1 out of 3 days. I guess Im a wanderer :)

If I could pick a place right now, Tanzania is sounding good!

I don't think Tate would go for that! There isn't even a basket on that thing for him. ;)

For me it will always be Rome. My all time favorite city. From there, one can venture to the coast and visit Positano & Capri or head north to Lake Como & Milan. But Rome as my home base is ideal. The city just feel like home to me. Perfection. Vespa driving, big sunglasses wearing, bustling, cobblestone paved, espresso drinking, luxury shopping perfection.
